![]() The company I work for resells Fortinet (so I've supported close to 200 devices), and the experience is mostly good. What's a better model for our needs?Īs far as Fortinet goes I know they are cheaper and not as easy to manage, but a good solution nonetheless. The NSA 2400 looks like a good mid range option as well. I am leaning toward Sonicwall because it's easier to manage and the support is great. I looked at the SonicWALL TZ 215, but my research shows it can handle a max of 50 users. I don't have too much experience with firewalls, but it's clear there needs to be a change. I did recommend pfsense, however my colleagues aren't too keen about venturing into the Linux world. In the past 2 years there have been several hands configuring the TMG firewall (from MSP's to individual contractors), so the setup is kind of fubar when you want to allow RDP from an external IP address, but there's a rule blocking the connection that hasn't been pinpointed (yet). ![]() Our current firewall and proxy server setup is Forefront TMG 2010 running on a dual core Xeon processor with 4GB of RAM. Admin at a non-profit supporting around 60 users at HQ, and have 15 remote sites with an average for 6 users per location who are connected via Cisco VPN to the network.
